Food is Fuel: Top-Secret Tips for Eating Like a Titan

What do our Titan guys and girls eat?

How would they keep going if they needed to jump on a plane and head to a rescue mission with only a few minutes notice? I’ll give you an (obvious) clue! Eating plays an important role!

The last thing anyone would need to deal with would be a hungry and grumpy Jared. Can you imagine the bedlam that would ensue because of that? Sugar needs to read this post and have her man prepared, to prevent any unnecessary conflict!

In general, Cash and the boys would eat A LOT to maintain the muscle mass that they have gained during years of military training and special ops missions. However, in the event of a last minute emergency call, they could easily whip up a smoothie that would successfully keep them going for a few hours.

Titan Strong Foods for Healthy Eating

Foods that contain a lot of protein keep us feeling fuller for longer. Protein rich foods include eggs, chicken, tuna and nuts.

Protein takes longer for our bodies to digest than other nutrients, and as a result, it leaves us feeling satisfied for a more substantial amount of time. There’s another awesome benefit of eating protein! It is the main nutrient involved in muscle repair after a workout. Our men work out so much that a protein packed diet would be essential.

One thing that can be made in literally two minutes is an almond milk smoothie.

I personally use them at least three mornings a week as my breakfast. I always use almond milk, chia seeds, a banana and a tablespoon of peanut butter. After that you can add whatever fruit you have in the house, or even a squeeze of honey for a bit of sweetness.

I make my smoothies in my George Foreman Mix & Go! It’s one of the best kitchen appliances I’ve ever bought! I used just the following recipe today.

Bernadette’s Protein Packed Awesome Smoothie

  • 1.5 cups of almond milk
  • 1 banana
  • A handful of chia seeds
  • A tablespoon of peanut butter
  • A handful of strawberries
  • A few blueberries

Chia seeds are another nutritional secret for someone with a busy lifestyle like our Titan family. Chia seeds are jam packed with fibre, promoting a healthy digestive process. They also expand to 10 times their normal size in our stomachs, also leaving us feeling full for a longer period of time.

As you can see the benefits of simple, easy-to-make smoothies are endless! Packed with nutrients and superfoods, they keep us feeling healthy and energized when our lives start to run away from us.

Enjoy adding protein and fibre to your food routines! Before long, you’ll feel the benefits of eating like a Titan.

I was so excited to see Chia seeds when I read this! I put them in everything, and it feels great to know that I am on the right track. Smoothies, on the kids’ sandwiches in lunch. Honestly, they have no idea when it’s peanut butter on whole wheat.
